COTTO is entering the second half of the year with the Ultra Clean+ innovation, a proprietary coating that reduces bacterial accumulation by 99% within 24 hours. The Touchless Series includes the Mood, Micc, and Hercules Curve models, coated with Ultra Clean+ and featuring the touchless Waving Sensor System for the first time, addressing the New Normal lifestyle where consumers are increasingly concerned about cleanliness and hygiene.

 

Mr. Anuwat Chalermchai, Head of Ceramic Business at SCG Cement-Building Materials, stated that in the ongoing COVID-19 situation, with no vaccine available, COTTO has adjusted its strategy to develop sanitary ware that meets the new lifestyle needs of consumers who must maintain cleanliness to stay safe from germs around them. The innovation involves a coating applied inside the toilet bowl using Ultra Clean+, a new coating technology that is sprayed onto the raw clay layer and fired at high temperatures, making the sanitary ware resistant to abrasion and extending its usability. This is the latest innovation unique to COTTO that inhibits and reduces bacterial accumulation, as the material contains Ag+ (Silver ion) that destroys cell walls and reduces the growth of bacteria, including E. Coli and Streptococcus, by over 99% within 24 hours. It has passed the JIS Z 2801:2010 standard tests from BOKEN (OSAKA: JAPAN) and SGS (BANGKOK: THAILAND).

  Mr. Kittipong Pothoranant, Managing Director of Siam Sanitaryware Co., Ltd., a leading manufacturer and distributor of sanitary ware under the brand COTTO, stated that COTTO has applied the Ultra Clean+ innovation to the Touchless Series in three models: C126227 Mood, C105327 Micc, and C135137 Hercules Curve, using the touchless Waving Sensor System for the first time. This makes these models stand out in three aspects:

1. Enhanced Hygiene through the use of Ultra Clean+ innovation, a new coating technology that is sprayed onto the raw clay layer and fired at high temperatures, making the sanitary ware resistant to abrasion and extending its usability.

2. Convenience in Flushing System with a hand wave over the sensor installed within a specified range of no more than 40 mm. The sanitary ware will flush immediately, and the sensor can be installed anywhere in the bathroom within a radius of no more than 3 meters, within reach of the user. This design follows Universal Design principles, eliminating concerns about moisture and limescale buildup, while also saving energy by using alkaline batteries with a lifespan of over 10 months.

3. Easy Troubleshooting and Maintenance without the need for electrical wiring, using only 4 AA alkaline batteries in the receiver system and 3 AAA alkaline batteries in the transmitter system. In case the batteries run out, there is an Override button to flush manually.
